This page summarises how rev.africa complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, where they apply, African data protection laws such as the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, Ghana Data Protection Act 2012, Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act 2022, Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 and South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Principles we follow

• We process only the data we need to run a public company directory and review service.
• We list companies (legal entities) only, with general business contacts. We do not list sole traders or private individuals and do not publish names of directors, owners or employees.
• We tell people what we do with their data: users when they register, companies when their profile is published (we publish a profile only when we can notify the company by email).
• We keep data only as long as necessary and delete it after the retention periods set out in the Privacy Policy.
• We keep records of the notices we send so we can demonstrate compliance (accountability).

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and the right to object. To use them, email [email protected]. We reply without undue delay and within one month at the latest.

Companies

If you represent a company listed on rev.africa, you can claim the profile for free, correct it, or object to it being published. Reviews written by customers are their own opinions; we will review requests to remove them in line with our Moderation Policy.

Complaints

You can complain to the Polish supervisory authority (uodo.gov.pl) or to the data protection authority of your country. See the Privacy Policy for the list.
